Teresa García Hubard

Teresa is a therapist, teacher, author and speaker. Since her first encounter with Hakomi over a decade ago, she felt that she had come home and hasn't ceased to be marveled by this practice. Today Teresa is a senior Hakomi Trainer based in Mexico City, Mexico.

Teresa has been a practicing clinical psychologist for over three decades, specialized in psychotherapy for children and teens, as well as the relationship between mothers and their babies. She is well grounded in psychoanalysis having studied with the Mexican Association of Psychoanalysis; University of Paris XII, French Embassy and the Franco-Mexican Association of Psychiatry. Her bachelors and masters in Clinical Psychology are from Ibero and UNAM.

Teresa is the author of the Spanish-language book No Hay Niño Malo. 12 Mitos Sobre la Infancia (There are no Bad Kids. 12 Myths about Childhood) and co-author of Despertando Tu Amor Para Recibir Tu Bébé: Cómo Prevenir la Tristeza y la Depresión en el Embarazo y Después del Parto (Awakening Your Love to Receive your Baby: How to Prevent Sadness and Depression during Pregnancy and After Birth).
