About the event
Since we first started to imagine the spirit of Hakomi Cascadia we knew that we wanted to create a community that honors what is happening out in the world as also ours. We are all connected in our beauty and shadow. Right now, the violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in North America is also ours. We wish to honor the pain, fear and grief, and its long history on this continent, as well as listen to the truth-telling voices of how we all participate in creating the conditions for this to happen.
Since our inception, we have been trying to figure out how to explore our racialized selves through the expansive and kind awareness that Hakomi affords us. In this moment we invite you all into an open space, where we sit together with our racialized bodies and human hearts, and let emerge what wants to unfold.
