We are a Hakomi Method Learning and Practice Center dedicated to preserve the teachings of Ron Kurtz, founder of the Method, while exploring and supporting the Method's evolution staying loyal to its essence. Our Educational Director, Maru Serrano, Trainer and Mentor of the Hakomi Method and direct student of Ron Kurtz for more than a decade, contributes to our Programs providing an extensive understanding of the traditions and methods that are foundation of the Hakomi Method as well as embodying a clear sense of its potential, its somatic background and its trascendant dimension.

Our Trainings and Mentoring Programs are certified and validated  by ourselves as well as  through the Hakomi Education Network. They do not provide a certification or license to practice themselves but are a recognition of your achievement in your understanding of the Method in all levels and practice so that you can apply it in your life and in whichever profession you are skilled at with confidence. We know by our direct experience the more you practice will evoke the initial intentions and passions that once brought you to the path you chose and give you a deeper sense of purpose and a ground to prevent burnout.

The word Hakomi comes from the Hopi indigineous people, with whom we intend to live in reciprocity, being emisaries of their culture and encouraging donations to their projects. "Hakomi" gives name and defines the essence of our  Method and it can translate, in the archaic Hopi language, as "how do you stand in relation to the many situations that you face", "how do you relate to your environment or to the many dimensions of your world" and, in the current coloquial Hopi language, as "where are you going?"

Hakomi aludes to a process that is centered in a deep inquiry to explore our habits, the way we organice to perceive things and respond to our environment and the ways we orient to relate to others and take action in the world. Our habits condition our hability to be present and available to others and the way we relate to each other and the world itself. Discovering them opens the possibility to awaken, grow and create other habits that serve better the self we want to become.
We do this inspired by some pivotal principles that create a container so that these new ways to respond, more aligned with our deeper wants and dreams, can emerge.
Those principles are: Mindfulness, Organicity, Non Violence, Holism and Unity.
We are also  committed to an ethical standard of practice, shaped by the Right Use of Power Method, that allow a sense of safety and the possibility to explore. We deliver our Training Curriculum in a trauma informed setting, starting by building resources to foster ressiliency, learning ways to corregulate and self regulate and deepening in the process as the conditions allow it, in the same way we would prepare the soil first to plant a garden.
We do this with the certainty that, given those conditions, our basic human goodness and intelligence will emerge and we can restore a better sense of well being and connection to others. We believe that in doing so we are, together, braiding a new collective that is closer to our human potential as a specie and developing to evolve in the conscious service to this planet that we, so urgently, need to achieve at this time in history.
We do this in groups as we learn the Method or in individual sessions with the assisted guidance of Certified Practitioners.
We also offer tailoring Trainings to organizations, groups or communities that may benefit from it in order to improve their internal dynamics or their customer service.

We honor and are deeply grateful to the Hopi People, whose language gave birth to the name of the Method we teach. We are committed to reverence the word Hakomi and its meaning and to use it, respectfully and ethically, staying in relation with the culture that brought it to our world and in constant inquiry on how to do that best.

The best bet is to invest in emotional intelligence and mental resilience; in the ability to change yourself and to constantly reinvent yourself-because this is definitely going to be needed more than in any previous time in history."

"My first impulse is to find something to love, something to be inspired by, heroic, recognizable as the gift and burden of the human condition, the pain and grace that's there to find in everyone you meet."
